Funeral services for Ms. Bobby J. Ivey of Jonesville were held at 2:00PM, Sunday, April 14, 2024, in the chapel of Young’s Community Memorial Winnsboro with Bro. Stacy Thomas officiating. Interment followed at Harris Cemetery near Winnsboro under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial.

Ms. Bobby was born February 12, 1941, in Natchez, MS and passed from this life on April 9, 2024, surrounded by her family, in Jonesville, LA, at the age of 83. She was a member of United Pentecostal Church in Jonesville, LA and worked at various jobs throughout her entire life. In her younger years, she was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, mowing her yard, gardening flowers and vegetables, canning, running the tractor, and just making her yard beautiful. Bobby once competed with a family member in a hunting contest, winning the prize, her dad’s gun. She believed in discipline, order and taking care of her family and other loved ones, when needed. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frankie and Sadie Reeves; daughter, Patricia Ann Ivey; son, Howard Ray Ivey; two brothers, Lonnie Reeves, Phillip R. Reeves, along with three other sisters and three other brothers; and brother-in-law, Clifton Tullos.

Survivors include her daughter, Bobby Nell Wilson and husband, Johnny; one son, Lonnie Wayne Ivey and wife, Lynne; two sisters, Marie Tullos, Willie Mae Davis and husband, Bobby; one brother, Johnny Reeves and wife, Ellen; also survived by eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and a second one on the way, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Pallbearers were Josh Allen, Matt Allen, Aven Allen, Brent Creel, Presten Creel, and Bobby Davis.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital and the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
