Graveside services for Virginia Welch Mc-Johnson, 90 of Sicily Island,LA were held at Highland Park Cemetery in Sicily Island on Monday, April 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM with Bro. Harold Tucker officiating under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Virginia McJohnson was born on Wednesday, June 14, 1933 in Gurdon, AR. and passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024 in Sicily Island, LA. She was of the Episcopal Faith and attended Pine Hill Baptist Church in Sicily Island, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Walter McJohnson 'Buddy'; her father, Euel Welch; mother, Alyne McDonald Welch; and her brother, John William Welch.
She is survived by her son, Mike Mc-Johnson of Clayton, LA; daughter, Sherry Price and her husband Robert of Sicily Island, LA; granddaughter, Marissa Beesley and her husband Lance of Natchez, MS; two grandsons, Robert M. Price Jr. 'Bobby' and his wife Diana of Trout, LA, and Cody McJohnson and his wife Elisha of Archibald, LA. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, Levi Beesley, Tessa Beesley, Josie Beesley, Miles Price, David Price, Trent Ford, Journi Levite, Jordan Biglane, Caysen Hale and Kaelyn Hale.
Pallbearers were Mike McJohnson, Robert M. Price Sr., Cody McJohnson, Robert M. Price Jr. 'Bobby', Levi Beesley, Miles Price and David Price.
Honorary pallbearers were Charles and Peggy Woods and Trent Ford.
A special thanks to Enhabit Home Health and Hospice and Sitters Debbie, Marta and Alexis for the love and care they gave.
