I, Donna Neal, would like to formally announce my candidacy for Police Jury Ward 5. I am a life long resident of Catahoula Parish and Ward 5. I am married to David Neal. We have two sons, their wives and three grandchildren. We attend Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Hello, I would like to introduce myself to those of you who do not know me. My name is Bub Barker, I am a lifelong resident of Catahoula Parish. I have tried to help everyone I could throughout my life. My grandfather always told me to be honest and if I could not help someone don’t hurt them.
Catahoula Parish has a new school superintendent just a month after the retirement of Superintendent Dr Gwile Freeman. Ronald Lofton was elected as superintendent in a special meeting on March 28, 2019. The meeting began at 4:00 p.m. and adjourned over three hours later at 7:30 p.m.
I just want to take this time to let the voters of Ward 6 know that come this October, I will be running for Police Jury. I look forward to the chance to serve the good people of Ward 6 and I hope to make our community proud.
Saturday evening the JWC welcomed over 300 guest to its annual fund raising event. This years theme was “A Royal Night” as local celebrities dressed as royals from Bible times to present day.
The Catahoula Parish School Board (CPSB) was ordered to appear in court on March 20, 2019 by Senior United States District Judge Dee Dodson Drell.
