Block splits games vs Delta Charter and FCCS
Block’s Lady Bears redeemed themselves after the loss to Bolton with a win over Delta Charter. The final score of that game was 44-37. It was no easy game though.

HHS Lady Dawgs 52 Central Lady Panthers 33
Macy Taylor led the way for the Lady Bulldogs on offense. She put 15 points on the board in their win over Central High School.
The Lady Bears of Block did extend their winning streak after a 52-27 victory over Jena’s Lady Giants.
This made it four in a row for the Lady Bears.
Block’s Bears fell to the Mustangs 66-56 last Tuesday. The Bears have not had good fortune when playing Avoyelles. This loss not only snaps the Bears three game winning streak but increases their losing streak to Avoyelles. The loss makes it five in a row now to the Mustangs.
Central High School Lady Panthers defeated the Lady Demons of Downsville High School 30-28 last Tuesday, but it didn’t come easy.
The rivalry game between the Sicilly Island Tigers and the Block Bears lived up to it’s hype last tuesday night. It may come as a surprise to how long it has been since BHS has got a victory over SIHS who has been the powerhouse for sports in the parish for years.
Block absolutely dominated FCCS on Monday night, beating the Warriors by 48 points. The final score was 80-32.
The Sicily Island Tigers hosted the FCCS Warriors to start their basketball season last Tuesday night.
The Lady Tigers and Lady Warriors took the floor first and the Lady Warriors came out on top of that game with a score of 81-26
Block football was only able to grab two wins this season, but it was just enough to sneak into the playoffs. The Bears traveled to Montgomery this past Friday night to take on district foe Montgomery Tigers for the first round of the playoff games.
Harrisonburg Bulldog Cross Country Girls and boys’ teams placed well in the State Meet in Natchitoches on Monday, November 18.
