A joint investigation between LaSalle, Concordia, and Catahoula parish sheriff departments led to the recovery of two utility vehicles. An arrest warrant and a tip led the agencies to the location of stolen items.
Officer’s also recovered weapons and an assortment of items that were returned to their rightful owners. The utility vehicles were valued between $14,000 and $22,000.00. One of the owners, Mr. Smedley, was quoted as saying “I appreciated the hard work of the sheriff’s office” and thanked them for everything, they did to recover his vehicle.
Two arrest were made in connection with the theft. Gregory Lance Jones, 24 years old of Jonesville, was arrested and charged with felony theft, possession of stolen things, possession of a firearm by a felon, and out of parish warrants. Judge Kathy Johnson set Jones bond at $80,000.
Jessica Lynn Harris, 25 years old of Jonesville, was arrested for theft and possession of stolen things. Bond was set Tuesday at $65,000.
