ALA Boyd-Mann Unit

American Legion Auxiliary Boyd-Mann Unit 163 announces they are offering two scholarships in the amount of $750.00 and $500.00. They are available to graduating high school seniors residing in Catahoula Parish. The $750.00 scholarship will be presented In Memory of deceased American Legion Auxiliary member, Hester B. Wilson. To be eligible for the scholarships someone from the applicants family must have served in the united states armed forces. They must be a resident of Catahoula Parish and write an essay on Patriotism. Applications must be completed in full or it will be rejected as incomplete. Applications will be available at all high schools in Catahoula Parish or through requested email to Ruth King at Applications must be postmarked by US mail by Monday, April 15, 2019 to be eligible for judging. Trevor Rogers Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Trevor Rogers Memorial Scholarship Fund is now accepting applications for scholarships. Two scholarships will be awarded this year to Catahoula Parish seniors. Applicants must have a 2.0 GPA, complete four hours of community service, and be accepted to a university or vocational college to qualify. The money raised at the Enterprise Family Festival and Enterprise Fishing Tournament will go to the scholarship fund. Both the family festival and the fishing tournament will be held on April 27, 2019. Seniors are encouraged to volunteer at these events as it will go toward their community service hours. Applications are available at all high schools in Catahoula Parish. Applications will be accepted through email to, or in person. Jonesville Woman’s Club

The Jonesville Woman’s Club will again offer academic scholarhsips to Block High School for seniors who meet the criteria established by the club. Scholarships will be offered as the following: one $500.00 scholarship and two $300.00 scholarships. To apply, the following criteria must be completed:
1. A written essay is required.
2. Twenty Four hours of community service are also required. please specify the number of hours and where the volunteered hours took place in order for the service to be verified by the Jonesville Woman’s Club. All parts of the application must be completed in order to be considered for the scholarship. 
Graduating seniors from Block may pick up scholarship applications from the guidance counselor at Block High School. The Jonesville Woman’s Club requests that these applications be sent to:
