Regular season is at its end and Harrisonburg finished the season with Georgetown at home. The Lady Dawgs were defeated 41-26.
The Lady Dawgs couldn’t find the offense in the first half. They were only able to get 8 points on the board.
It wasn’t because of bad play calls or execution. The Lady Dawgs found open shots and had free throw opportunities but just wasn’t finding the bottom of the basket.
As the first quarter came to an end the Lady Dawgs had 0 points until Delaney Crum hit a deep 3 shot with just a little over one second on the clock.
Georgetown had a 24-8 lead over Harrisonburg going into halftime.
Georgetown had the game well under their control as they cruised to the win.
Senior Bailey Fuqua finished the game with 12 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double.

The Bulldogs were competitors throughout their last game even though they lost 48-35. The game was a lot closer than what the final score suggests.
Georgetown jumped ahead early with a 7-point run to begin the game. It was almost a tone-setting start. Began to think that Georgetown might run away with it but then the Bulldogs hit a couple of 3-point shots to bring it to a 1-point game.
Harrisonburg was down 18-8 after one quarter but played a good second quarter and went into halftime trailing Georgetown 21-16.
The Bulldogs would fall behind a little in the third and was trailing 34-22 going into the fourth.
Harrisonburg gave Georgetown a run for their money as they cut Georgetown’s lead to just 4 points with 2 minutes left in the game.
It had rattled Georgetown for a bit. They started missing free throws and shots and turn the ball over a couple of times.
Harrisonburg was in foul trouble though and eventually Georgetown iced the game.
