A celebration of life for Thomas James "Jim" Wilson, Sr. of Jonesville, LA were held at First Baptist Church Jonesville, LA at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 11, 2019 with Reverend Ralph Webber, Reverend Paul Colclasure, Reverend Todd Whittington officiating.  Interment followed in Heard Cemetery, Manifest, LA under the direction of Young's Funeral Home Jonesville, LA.
Jim was born October 13, 1930 to John William Wilson and Lorena McClure Wilson in Jonesville, LA, and died peacefully on May 8, 2019 at LaSalle General Hospital in Jena, LA.
He graduated from Block High School in 1949.  After serving in the US Navy, he began working for International Paper Company in Natchez, MS.  He was an active and dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Jonesville, LA, serving as a deacon.  He was a member and past master of the Harrisonburg Masonic Lodge #110.  He received his 60 year Masonic Pin in the fall of 2018.
He is preceded in death by his wife Altonette Carter Wilson; his parents; three brothers, Riley Wilson, Lopez "Mack" Wilson, and Henry Wilson; two sisters, Aline Schnider and Lula Bates.
Jim is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Wilson; his children, Cheryl Wilson Davison (Howard) of Daytona Beach, FL, Jamie Wilson Broussard (David) of Lafayette, LA, Myra Wilson Mathis (Rick) of Nashville, TN, Thomas James "Jay" Wilson, Jr. of Canton, GA, Stepson, Bobby Field (Larisa) and one sister, Johnnie Ruth Wilson Freeman of Houston, TX.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sara Davison, Andrew Davison (Kelcey), Hannah Broussard, John Broussard, Benjamin Broussard, Jacob Mathis, Daniel Mathis, and step-grandchildren, Bona Field and Ben Field; one great-granddaughter, Jordan Davison and numerous nieces and nephews.
