Raymond Rouse, Catahoula Parish Coroner, recently attended the 2023 Louisiana State Coroner's Association Fall Meeting.
Rouse, who was unopposed in the recent election, attended the meeting held at LOPA (Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency) Headquarters in Covington. During this meeting, Coroner's from all over the State of Louisiana as well as Coroner's Elect, listened to Chris Knoblauch, Forensic Investigator as well as Education and Community Outreach Director St. Tammany Parish Coroner's Office. Those attending also heard from Charley Foy, Mass Fatality Identification through Dental Records, Daniele L. Palen, Director of the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Darlene Grace, Southeast Regional Manager of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Arbie Goings, Mass Casualty Consultant and Honorable William ' Chuck Credo, III, JD Attorney at Law who serves as consultant to the Louisiana Coroner's Association as well as JaQuandra Quinney, Program Manager for NAMI, Louisiana.
Following presentations by all the above mentioned, the Fall Session of Louisiana State Coroner's Association was conducted, with Dr. Gerry Cvitanovich re-elected as President.
Rouse will begin his ninth term as Coroner of Catahoula Parish in March of 2024.
