Services for Fannie Lanier Ratcliff were at 10AM, Saturday, February 3, 2024 at New Life Pentecostal Church, Manifest, LA with Rev. David Poole officiating.
Visitation was from 6PM, Friday, February 2nd until time of service at 10AM, Saturday, February 3rd at the church.
Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Aimwell, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.
Mrs. Fannie Lanier Ratcliff was born to the union of her parents Edward A. “Bud” Lanier and Gracie “Sis” Jackson Lanier on Monday, July 14, 1930 and passed away from this life Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the age of 93 ½ years old. She was joined in Holy matrimony to G.H. Ratcliff on October 6, 1950. They were blessed with two daughters, Reba Ratcliff Coleman and Kathy Ratcliff Spence. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and daughter who tirelessly gave her life to her family and especially to the care for her parents for many years. Her strength was shown in her hard work in caring for all that she loved. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 ½ years; her only sibling, Sidney A. Lanier; sister-n-law, Ethel Jones Lanier; and son-nlaw, Terry L. Spence, Sr.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters; son-nlaw, Jack E. Coleman; four grandchildren, Roxie Coleman Dill (Matt), Corey E. Coleman, Lynn Spence (Ashley) and Dustin H. Spence (Heather); nine great grandchildren, Brook Bass Johnson (J.J.), Luke Spence (Anna), Hayden Coleman, Jackson “Jake” Spence, Bronx Dill, Timothy Spence, Caleb Spence, McKinley Spence and Lacey Rae Spence; and three great-great grandchildren, Drake, Slade and Pyper Johnson.
Pallbearers were Lynn Spence, Corey Coleman, Luke Spence, Jackson Spence, J.J. Johnson and Matt Dill.
Honorary pallbearers were Timothy Spence, Drake Johnson, Bronx Dill, Justin Rodgers, Hayden Coleman, Caleb Spence, Slade Johnson, Allen Rodgers and Garrett Rodgers.
