Chelsea Renee Norris Babin, age 31 of West Monroe, Louisiana, formally of Jena, was received into heaven on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, after losing her battle with addiction.
She was born Sunday, October 11, 1992, in Alexandria, Louisiana. Chelsea graduated a year ahead of her class from Jena High School in 2010. She was called many different names by her family, such as “Chelsea Renee”, “My Love”, “Little Mama”, “Mama”, “Mama June”, “Chels”, “CC,” and the “Mean Aunt” because she made them all behave.
Those left to love and miss her are her parents Christy and husband Alan Joy of Nebo; husband Blake Babin of West Monroe; father Brent Norris of Ardmore, OK; son Wesson Farley; three daughters Milah Kate Norris, Camille Grant, and Harper Grant, all of Nebo; two sisters JayCee Norris and husband Lincoln (Luke) of Jena, Alana Joy (Jamie) of Jena; four brothers Jakob Norris and wife Julie of Trout, Kohl Joy of Nebo, Zayde Farley of Nebo, Zak Norris of Ardmore OK; grandparents Joe and Tiny Wilkinson of the Walters Community and Gary and Glynda Norris of the Rogers Community; “bonus” parents Reacey and the late Brent Farley of Nebo and Violet and Lynn Windham of Belah; three aunts, Lisa Edwards Hewitt and husband Tom of Columbia, Tammie Guin and husband Mitch of Jena, Anita Elliott and husband Nick of Jena; two uncles Clint Norris of the Rogers Community and Todd Norris and wife Taylor of the Hurricane Creek Community and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
The family received friends on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home, from 10:00 AM until time of service.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 17, 2024, in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home with Rev. David Hutchinson, Rev Gary Norris, Rev. Todd Norris, and Bro. Clint Norris officiating. Chelsea was laid to rest following service in Jena Cemetery, Jena, under the directions of Kinner & Stevens.
Those honored to serve Chelsea as pallbearers were Jakob Norris, Heath Elliott, Ryan Farley, Zayde Farley, Todd Norris, and Clint Norris. Honorary pallbearers were Kynzer Elliott and Kohl Joy.
