Private graveside services for Kathleen Kora Kirby King, 91, of Jonesville, LA was held at Heard Cemetery in Manifest, LA.

Kathleen was born on Tuesday, September 19, 1933 in Jonesville, LA and passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025 in Jonesville, LA surrounded by loved ones. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who poured her heart into caring for her family. Her love for her sons and husband was unwavering, and she made sure they were always well taken care of. A member of Jonesville First Baptist Church, Kathleen lived her life with kindness, love, and devotion to those she held dear.

Kathleen had a gift for bringing people together, ensuring that every special event was filled with warmth, laughter, and love. She made sure her family never missed a good meal, serving breakfast and supper with the same care and dedication that she showed in every aspect of her life. Holidays were especially meaningful -whether it was the King family egg hunts at Easter or the fun of bobbing for apples on Halloween, and decorating for Christmas, she made sure every moment was memorable.

Beyond her love for family and tradition, Kathleen had a passion for jewelry and shoes, always adding a touch of sparkle to her life. She leaves behind a legacy of love, unity, and cherished memories.

She is reunited with her husband of 72 years, James Roy King; sons, James Kirby King and Kernie Wayne King; and parents, Shelby E. Kirby and Littia B. Kirby.

Those left behind to cherish Kathleen's memories are her grandsons, James Kalon King and his wife Rachel of Jonesville, LA, Kyle King of Jonesville, LA and Devin Wayne King and his wife Holly of Pollock, LA; granddaughters, Kacie Kathleen Childers and her husband Travis of Jonesville, LA and Chelsea Skinner and her husband Byron of Elton, LA; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Those honoring Kathleen as pallbearers were James Kalon King, Klayton Kyle King, Devin Wayne King, Travis Childers, Jackson Dunn, Wyatt King, and Bannon Skinner.

Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie King, Ben King, Ken King, Conley Manning, and Kenneth Davis.
