A graveside funeral service for Martha Marie “Martharie” Wiley Bullock, 81 of Jonesville, LA was held at Jena Cemetery at 2PM on Thursday, May 15, 2025 with Bro. Paul Piro officiating. Interment followed at Jena Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home. Martharie was born on Friday, August 27, 1943 in Baton Rouge, LA and passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025 in Jonesville, LA. She was a resident of Jonesville, LA and a member of Jonesville’s First Baptist Church and most recently attended First Methodist Church in Jonesville.
Martharie was known for her quiet strength, creativity, and love of simple joys. An avid reader, she found comfort and adventure within the pages of books. Her hands were rarely still—she was a skilled seamstress who could master any style with care and precision. Martharie also had a deep love for nature, spending many peaceful hours tending her flower garden and watching hummingbirds flutter by. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, beauty, and grace. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Bullock; daughter, Anne Marie Robbins; and her parents, Willard and Eloise Wiley.
Those left to cherish her memory are her grandsons, Wesley Robbins of Jonesville, LA, and Ricky Robbins (Heaven) of Lake City, AR; granddaughters, Destani Haysmer (Hunter) of Lake City, AR, and Sara Barrett of Lake City, AR; great-grandchildren, Haydyn Robbins of Lake City, AR, Oliver Heysmer of Lake City, AR, of Katherine Haysmer, Lake City, AR; sisters, Judy Lingo (Lindy) of Oak Grove, LA, and Marybeth Boothe (Ellis) of Jonesville, LA; her beloved dog Sunshine; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Those honoring Martharie as pallbearers were, Ricky Robbins, Westley Robbins, Wiley Boothe, Jim Lingo, Thomas Lingo, and Roger Jones.
Honorary pallbearers were Lindy Carl Lingo and Sid Arnold.
