Services for Lanny Head Jr. were at 2PM, Sunday, June 1, 2025 at Bethel Assembly of God, Harrisonburg, LA with Pastor Jim Mannon, Bro. Byron Chappell and Bro. Paul Bradford officiating. Visitation was from 12:30PM until time of service at 2PM. Interment was at Heard Cemetery, Manifest, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.
Lanny Head Jr., 55, of Gilbert, LA, was born May 12, 1970 in Newport, AR to Lanny and Joy Head and passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025 at St. Francis Medical Center, Monroe, LA.
Lanny was a business owner of Eskimo Air HVAC Service of Winnsboro, LA. He was an excellent gardener, was a talented cook and could fix anything. He could solve any puzzle and was skillful in so many different areas. He loved his children and grandchildren. To his children, Lanny was the strongest man in the world and he taught them so much. They will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Iyla Beth McKinney; maternal grandparents, Paul and Joyce Davenport; and paternal grandparents, Luther and Willow Head.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Lanny and Joy Head; brother, Jerry Head; sister, Emily Mason (Eddie); children, Candice Wilson (Michael), Amanda Head (Devin), Andrew Head (Kacie), Daniel Talbert (Kristen), Zachary Welch and Abbigail Head; sixteen precious grandchildren; and so many friends and family.
Pallbearers were Daniel Landry, Robbie Simms, John Davenport, JR Oliver, Kevin Armstrong and Waylon Cader.
Honorary pallbearers were Brett Graves, Greg Ladd and Chad McKee.
