Funeral services for Ida Mae Stockman, 86 of Jonesville, LA were held at New Life Pentecostal Church in Manifest on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM with Bro. Daryl Floyd, Bro. David Poole and Bro. Lance Stockman officiating. Internment followed at Heard Cemetery, Manifest, LA, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home - Jonesville. The family received friends at New Life Pentecostal Church from 5:00 PM til 9:00 PM, Saturday, July 12, 2025.

Ida Mae Stockman was born on Monday, August 15, 1938 in Winnsboro, LA. and passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025 in Jena, LA. She was a beloved matriarch and devoted follower of Christ, and passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

A cherished member of New Life Pentecostal Church, her faith guided every aspect of her life. Ida was a pillar of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion. As a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and greatgreat- grandmother, she touched five generations with her gentle spirit, wisdom, and nurturing heart.

Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and open arms. Ida’s legacy is one of faith, family, and boundless love. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the lives she shaped so beautifully. Heaven has welcomed home a faithful servant and treasured soul.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Stewart Stockman; parents, Charlie Taylor and Eunice Wilks Taylor; great -grandson, Slater Smith; son-in-law, Frank Joy Jr.; brother, Charles Taylor, two sisters, Elaine Estis and Elouise Tradewell.

She is survived by her daughters Cheryl Ellard of Jonesville, LA, Devra Stockman, Manifest, LA; one grandson, Gavin Joy (Bella), Jonesville, LA; two granddaughters, Dena Ellard, Pineville, LA and Amber Smith (Josh), Jonesville, LA; three great-granddaughters, Taylor Tingle (Justin), Alana Ragsdale (Travis), and Amelia Joy; three great-great-grandchildren, Wrenley and Slayden Tingle, and Ivy Ragsdale. and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Those honoring Ida as pallbearers were Randy Stockman, Kevin Stockman, Mike Estis, Steve Estis, Brian Taylor, Gavin Joy, James Kassin, and Eric Smith.
