Services for Carl William “Killer” Crooks were at 11:00AM August 31, 2025 at Oak Grove Free Methodist Church with Rev. Aaron Jolly officiating. Visitation was from 5PM, Saturday, August 30, 2025 until time of service at 11:00 AM, Sunday, August 31, 2025 at the Church. Interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery, Manifest, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.
Carl William “Killer” Crooks, 65, of Jonesville, LA, passed away August 28, 2025. Carl was a hardworking, loving family man. He enjoyed having his family with him all the time. His hobbies were thoroughly enjoyed – farm animals, hunting, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nolan Crooks; mother, Ruby Blount; stepfather, Jessie Blount; one brother and two sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 43 years, Joyce Crooks; daughters, Misty Crooks, Monica Little, and Morgan Crooks; four grandkids, Brenda Atkins, Dayton Little, Krislynn Crooks, and Harley Little; and one great-granddaughter, Kennedy Atkins. He is also survived by several special nieces, nephews, and adopted grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Charlie Sikes, Johnnie Sikes, Josh Smith, Darren Smith, Jerry Wayne Grant, and R’Montie Hooper.
