Services for Doris Edwards will be at 2PM, Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Wallace Ridge Baptist Church, Jonesville, LA with Bro. Jack Crane officiating. Visitation will be from 1PM until time of service at 2PM, Saturday, January 20th at the church. Interment will be at Woodland Cemetery, Jena, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.
Doris Edwards, 85, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024 at Hilltop Nursing Home. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and playing the piano at church. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by father, Coy Edwards; mother, Bessie Edwards; two brothers, Charles Edwards and Coy Edwards; sister, Thelma Cowart; niece, Beverly Cowart; great nephews, Vincent Davis and Cody Davis.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Dicie Davis of Jonesville; sister-nlaw, JoAnn Edwards of Jonesville; nieces and nephews include Karen Allbritton, Gene Edwards, Kathy Smith, Steve Davis, Mike Davis, Lawana Thompson, Carol Chester, Larry Edwards, Michele Edwards and Lisa Brown; and a host of great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Steve Davis, Mike Davis, Kirk Thompson, Jacob Thompson, John Wayne Allbritton and Gene Edwards.
