George J. Beard Jr., 64, of Jena, LA passed away Monday, March 10, 2025. He worked in the oilfield ranging from roughneck to company man. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, tinkering with old vehicles, and helping friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George J. Beard and Carrie Lee Wiley Beard; grandparents, Brady and Berneice Wiley; and son, Dustin Lee Beard.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Melanie Walker Beard; son, Jesse Beard; grandchildren, Tyler Beard and Skylar Beard; sister, Lee Beard Marceaux; host of nieces, nephews and friends; and his fur baby, “PupPup”.
