Services for Grace Mae Parker Book were at 11AM, Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Larto Apostolic Church, Larto, LA with Bro. Ronnie Wiley and Bro. Kenny White officiating. Visitation was from 10AM time of service at 11AM at the church. Interment was at Nichols Cemetery, Larto, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.
Grace Mae Parker Book, 96, of Larto, LA, passed away April 27, 2025 at LaSalle General Hospital. She was a member of Larto Apostolic Church, a simple and selfless person who enjoyed being in her yard raking leaves, mowing, tending to or planting flowers, watching birds, building fires and fishing. Most of all, she loved loving on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Everyone loved hearing her stories of when she was a young girl.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Katy Sanders Parker; husband, Le-Roy Book; four brothers, Benny Parker, A.V. Parker, Zoyle Parker and Ralph Parker; two sisters, Marie Book and Myra Ricks; and great grandson, Seth Hudnall.
Those left to cherish her memory include her three sons, Roy Book (Kathy), Melvin Book (Patsy) and Randy Book; brother, Claude Parker; five grandchildren, Heath Book (Mary), Heather Campbell (Ralph), Alisha Dollar (Eric), Sommer Book Hudnall and Kendall Book (Kimberly); great grandchildren, Jonathan Book (Gema), Thomas Dollar, Elisabeth Dollar, Madyson Campbell, Claire Campbell, Katy Book, Kensley Book, Kennedy Book, Mason Thompson, Ian Thompson and Evan Thompson; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were Heath Book, Jonathan Book, Ralph Campbell, Clois Book, Eric Dollar and Kendall Book.
