Both played important roles within the church community. During the 1980s, Iris owned and operated Country Cousins clothing store for several years. She was also known in the community as one of the best tea cake makers around.
Iris was a loving mother and grandmother, affectionately called Gran by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was deeply involved in their upbringing, always taking an active role in teaching and caring for them. She was greatly loved by each and every one of them.
As with anyone that lives 93 years it is impossible to tell all about her life here, but without a doubt she was the picture of the Christian woman in Proverbs 31. She was diligent with a keen sense of business matters, full of compassion and love for everyone, prepared for the future, a good teacher dedicated to her family with faithful service to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
