Services for Jerry Dale Book began at 2PM, Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Mayna Church of God, Jonesville, LA with Bro. Kenny Smith officiating. Visitation was from 11AM until time of service at 2PM, Wednesday, July 31st at the church. Interment followed at Palo Alto Cemetery, Jonesville, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.
Jerry Dale Book, 76, of Jonesville, LA, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024. He was an avid farmer who loved tending to his cows. His favorite thing to do was spending time with family. His favorite holiday was squirrel season weekend and cooking for everyone.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Laverne and Janie Book, and sister-in-law, Lanette Book.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Peggy; children, Kenney Book and wife Ressie, and Houston Book and wife Chrissy; five grandchildren, Meagan Book, Ariana Dulworth and husband Willis, Lacee Knapp and husband Hunter, Hunter Book and wife Loren and Kellie Book; eight great grandchildren, Collin Dulworth, Eden Dulworth, Laken Dulworth, Colter Creel, Sophie Knapp, River Knapp, Wyatt Book and Waylan Book; five siblings, Jean Harvey (Runnie), Layne Book, Kathy Adams (Jackie), Beverly LaPrairie (Wallace) and Pat Book (Georgette); and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Barrett Book, Ricky Harvey, Johnnie Adams, Mark LaPrairie, Nathan Wiley and Casey Book.
