On July 24th at 5:54pm, Jerry Wayne Mason, 69, of Harrisonburg, LA, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family.
Jerry was born on May 10, 1956 to R.B. Mason and Betty Mason. He had a twisted sense of humor and loved his grandchildren deeply.
He would always start his mornings with his mother drinking coffee and looking at photos of his family that will deeply miss him.
Jerry enjoyed being a carpenter all of his life. He could build anything you wanted and was well known throughout the community for his skills.
He was also a well known trapper in Catahoula Parish and the surrounding areas. He trapped bobcats, coyotes, and foxes. Jerry also like hunting and fishing and would tell his grandsons how he caught his catch of the day.
Those he leaves behind include his mother, Betty Mason of Harrisonburg, LA; brothers, Buddy Mason of Jonesville, LA, and Randy Mason of Natchez, MS; sister, Denise Mason of Harrisonburg, LA; daughter, Dee Mason of Harrisonburg, LA; son, Dustin Mason of Tomball, TX; grandsons, Nicholas Parker of Harrisonburg, LA, and Ethan Parker of Jonesville, LA; great-grandson, Christopher Parker of Harrisonburg, LA; and many nieces and nephews.
Jerry will be remembered and cherished by his family.
