Joseph A. Nicosia, Sr., 78, of Jonesville, LA, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center. He was a lifetime educator, coach, and avid sportsman who loved the Louisiana sportsman’s paradise. He was a talented drummer who kept the beat of life!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph L. Nicosia and Sue Ann Nicosia; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Denise Boothe Nicosia; daughter, Kelley Nicosia of Fort Worth, TX; son, Joseph A. Nicosia, Jr. of Arlington, TX; grandchildren, Jakob Gautney of Fort Worth, TX, Cory Nicosia and Kaylee Nicosia of Arlington, TX; brother, Larry J. Nicosia of Santa Clara, CA; nephews, Jody, Chris and Tracy Nicosia of Dallas, TX; cousins, Alphonse Nicosia and Andria Nicosia; step-sons, Jason and Jonathon Sikes; grandchildren, Kaleb, Jenny and Faith Sikes and Taylor Davis.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
