Percy “Pee Wee” Lee Douglas

Funeral services for Percy 'Pee Wee' Lee Douglas, 71 of Jonesville, LA were held at Harrisonburg First Baptist Church on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 11AM with Reverend Lynell Hatten officiating. Internment followed at White's Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. The family received friends prior to the service from 10AM until 11AM.

Pee Wee was born on Tuesday, July 28, 1953 in Wisner, LA and passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025. He was a beloved member of the Catahoula community, and passed away peacefully in Jonesville, LA.

A hardworking man, he dedicated many years to the land he farmed and to White Horse Farms, where he skillfully broke and trained horses with a quiet strength and deep respect for the animals he loved.

He also served honorably for many years with the Catahoula Sheriff’s Office, earning the trust and admiration of his peers. Pee Wee was an avid outdoors man who found joy in hunting, horseback riding, and spending time with his family. His strong hands, kind heart, and unwavering work ethic will be missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and dedication.

He is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Griffin; mother, Earlene Rogers; wife of 18 wonderful years, Debbie Douglas; and brothers, Juan Rogers and Jerry Rogers.

PeeWee is survived by his daughter, LaShonda Atkins of Jonesville, LA; son, Lyndell Atkins (Christa) of Vidalia, LA; son, Charles E. Atkins of Jonesville, LA; son, Lee E. Atkins of Harrisonburg, LA; daughter, JoAnn Atkins of Jonesville, LA; daughter, Carrie S. Atkins of Wisner, LA; daughter, Tinta S. Atkins of Harrisonburg, LA; son, Percy Atkins, Harrisonburg, LA; son, Jeffery Ivery (Carnie) of Magnolia, TX; brother, David Rogers (Jean), sister, Terry Smith (Jimmy), brother, Sammy Rogers; brother, Bobby Rogers (Robbie); sister, Kate Rogers; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Those honoring PeeWee as Pallbearers were Lee Atkins, Anthony Jennings, Richard Hatten, Howard Fair, Cedric Martin, and Charles Jackson.

Honorary Pallbearers were Charles Atkins, Percy Atkins, David Rogers, Sammy Rogers, Danny Brantley, Bobby Rogers, and Jimmy Smith.
