Funeral services for Robert David Neal, 79, of Jonesville, LA, were held at Wallace Ridge Baptist Church on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 12PM with Bro. Jack Crane officiating. Internment followed at Harrisonburg Hill Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home of Jonesville. The family received friends at Wallace Ridge Baptist Church before the service from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
David was born on Wednesday, May 29, 1946, in Ruston, LA, and passed away Monday, August 18, 2025, in Covington, LA, leaving behind a life full of faith, hard work, and love for family and community.
David lived a full life, which was full of joy, faith, and love. He attended Wallace Ridge Baptist Church and was a member of Gideons International.
David spent 38 years as a county agent for LSU AgCenter. During this time, he supported local farmers and agriculture. His heart was also dedicated to the 4-H program, where he mentored countless youth in showing livestock, shaping lives along the way.
He was a real estate agent and broker with Delta Land and Home, always eager to help others find a home and opportunity.
With his wife Linda, he ran a nursery, joyfully growing tomatoes, watermelons, poinsettias, and a variety of countless other plant life.
A passionate outdoorsman, David loved duck and deer hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed cheering on his beloved LSU Tigers. David will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Levohn Neal and sister, Allison Turner.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 wonderful years, Linda Neal of Jonesville, LA; sons, Cole Neal (Tia) of Jonesville, LA, Levi Neal (Holly) of Mandeville, LA, William Neal (Amanda) of Pearl, MS, and Tate Neal of Jonesville, LA; grandchildren Chandler Burgess, Amelia Neal, Abigail Neal, Jillian Neal, Valerie Santalucito, Andrew Dixon, Bailey Dixon; great-granddaughter, Eloise Santalucito; sister, Judy Jackson of Bossier City, LA, and a host of family and friends.
Those honoring David as pallbearers will be Ronnie Darden, Eddie Davis, Walter Myers, Darryl Floyd, Scott Mizelle, and James King.
Those honoring David as honorary pallbearers were Eddie White, John Wayne Allbritton, Twyman, Applebee, Ken King, Mike Rome, and Myrl Sistrunk.
