So call it the Gulf of What?

Our new president has stirred up a hornet’s nest by declaring that we no longer have a Gulf of Mexico. From now on, all government references will be to a Gulf of America. I grew up along the gulf coast, spending just about every summer there that I can remember.

If you weren’t in attendance, you missed a wild meeting. The seating was filled and people were standing into the hallway. All of your board members were present. The meeting was open to comments prior to measures for school closures being voted upon.Ms.

The Board has a plan

It seemed to be the virtually unanimous opinion of all concerned at the School Board meeting last Thursday, February 20, 2025, that something had to be done about the public school system in Catahoula Parish. There was less unanimity as to what and when.
