Catahoula Parish Loved the Boot last week

Love the Boot Week, Louisiana’s largest litter removal and beautification event stretched from April 5th to April 13th. Statewide there were more than 1,050 events taking place in all 64 parishes, 20,000 volunteers pitched in to clean up the state.

Grand Jury indictment for first degree murder

On Monday, April 14th, District Attorney Brad Burget presented evidence and testimony, including that of Sheriff Toney Edwards, to a Catahoula Parish Grand Jury, resulting in the indictment of Thomas Sanders for the first-degree murder of Lexis Kay Roberts.

Boy Scouts Hold First Meeting, rechartered after 14 years
