Sicily Island is honored to have Anne S. Wycoff and Betty Smith serve as Grand Marshals at this years Christmas parade. The parade will begin this Saturday at 5:30 pm.Anne S. Wycoff moved to Sicily island in 1962, where she lived with Gus and Irma Watson, her Aunt and Uncle.

Last Friday, December 8, 2023, Troy Carl Donavan escaped from the Catahoula Parish Jail in Harrisonburg. At approximately 1:25 PM the CPSO was notified of the escape and Deputies, Detectives, SRO's, and K-9 Officers responded quickly to the call.

Louisiana Workforce, through the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act, assisted Catahoula Parish Fire District Four, Sandy Lake (CPFD) to send volunteers to train to be Emergency Medical Technician’s (EMT).

Police Jury approves Sanitation Department move

The Catahoula Parish Police Jury held a special meeting on November 27th to amend budgets of all funds for 2023 and to present the proposed 2024 budgets of all funds. After the special meeting ended the jury went on with their regular scheduled meeting.
