Catahoula Parish sales tax collected in the fiscal year June 2023 through July 2024 increased from the previous year by $233,136.00. January yielded the highest revenue at $796,700.00. The lowest amount of sales tax collected was in March, parish wide the total was $525,000.00.

Rural law enforcement agencies are challenged by limiting resources to acquire lifesaving equipment. The Catahoula Parish Sheriff Office (CPSO) has strong personal ties with local businesses and residents that help lessen the strain.
