Bridge collapsed in Aimwell

Last Friday afternoon a Catahoula Parish Police Jury maintained bridge collapsed. The bridge is on Red Cut Road in Aimwell. Police jury employees were repairing a spot in the road that had been damaged after the heavy rainfall. The employees had just driven over the bridge before it collapsed.

Students, faculty and staff of Block High School gathered with friends and family of Alice Woods last Friday to celebrate her memory. Woods spent 23 years at BHS, where she was famous for her homemade rolls and her encouraging words.

James Bond music concert

Concordia Parish Library and Concordia Bank & Trust Co. will present the Salute to the Music of James Bond Movies. It will be performed by Jaimee Paul & Her Band at the Concordia Bank Lobby, Vidalia. The performance will be Thursday, February 29th at 7:00 P.M., free and open to all.
