LCAA free weekly meal box summer program

LaSalle Community Action Association launches free weekly meal box program for children across Catahoula, Concordia, Grant, Tensas, and LaSalle Parishes The meals are provided under the USDA Sun Meals Program to ensure nutritious meals are provided for children 18 and under during the summer months.

What is a wolf worm? Not sure why it is called that. It doesn’t look like a wolf or a worm. It is actually scientifically known as a Cuterebra.We see it pretty often in cats around the head and neck. It looks like the cat has a tiny hole at first that progresses to a bigger hole.

Millie Mattered

On May 31st, we had a narcan handout on Highway 84 along with a garage sale where all proceeds went to Millie Mattered Moonlight Memorial events that will be held throughout the summer. We had a good turnout educating many people on the need to carry narcan.
